How do I enrol my child?
The first step in your application process is to Schedule a Visit to one of our Centres. During your visit, the centre director will show you around and discuss:
- The daily routine for your child’s room
- The centre’s programs
- The centre’s orientation procedure
- The centre’s policies
In addition, you will receive our Enrolment Package with an Enrolment Form.
What is the orientation procedure?
We understand that for children who join a Kids Time Early Learning Centre it may be their first experience away from home and some children may feel uncertain about starting a new experience in a new environment. As all children are unique, so too are their settling in patterns. We are happy to meet your child’s individual needs and provide orientation strategies designed for you and your child.
We allow one week (and sometimes more) for the orientation process, during which, you can come with your child as many times as you wish for an hour per visit. This will help your child become familiar with the Centre and put them at ease with their new learning environment.
Is the staff qualified?
To ensure the highest standards of care, we pay the utmost attention to employing qualified and experienced staff who share our philosophy and ideas of working together to create a warm, loving and secure environment for children to learn and grow.
Can I visit my child whenever I like?
We welcome our parents to visit the centre at any time throughout the day. Your contribution to the daily activities is highly valued.
What if my child gets sick?
If your child becomes unwell, we will contact you immediately and you may be required to pick up your child. We are committed to providing and maintaining a healthy environment so please do not send your child to the Centre if they are unwell.
What activities are provided?
We believe children learn through exploration and stimulating experiences and our play based programs offer a wide range of carefully planned activities based on each individual child’s needs and interests. Activities are planned weekly and displayed in each room.
What will my child eat?
Our centre chefs prepare nutritious and delicious meals on site that include all the vitamins and nutrients needed for an active, fun-filled day. All meals are prepared to the highest standards of hygiene. Menus are displayed weekly on the notice board in the foyer. Parents’ input is appreciated.
We cater for religious, cultural and special dietary requirements.
Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and evening snacks are provided. Our staff ensure that mealtimes are enjoyable and an opportunity for positive interaction.
How do I know my child is safe?
You can be assured that Kids Time Early Learning Centres provide a safe and a secure place for your child to play and grow. Our centres have internal policies and procedures to assist our staff in providing consistent, quality care at all times and we are always looking for new ways to safe guard the health and safety of children in our care.
